New Liverpool FC manager Brendan Rogers today spoke to the media for the first time. Of what he said what as most exciting was for his desire to play “relentless” attacking football and of creating an environment at Anfield that will make opposition players long for full time. It has been a while since any visiting team have felt like that.
“I was here with Chelsea in the Champions League (in the 2005 semi-final) and the players said they had never experienced support like that,” the Northern Irishman recalled. “That was ultimately what won the game for Liverpool and that is what I want to do here. I want to use the incredible support to make coming to Anfield the longest ninety minutes of an opponent’s life. That’s the idea. I want to see this great attacking football with creativity and imagination, with relentless pressing of the ball. I know what it’s like because I had a team like that at Swansea. Teams came to Swansea and after ten minutes when they hadn’t had a touch of the ball they were looking at the clock. It makes for a long afternoon.”

Whether you agree with the appointment of Rodgers or not (I am fully in favour of him) this, if it comes true, is exciting. We have been shit for far too long. A lot of my fellow LFC fans need to realise we’re going to need a couple of years before we challenge for the league like we all want. Get this new style working next season and go for fourth then kick-on the season after.

Good luck Red Men. Sadly gonna miss at least the first half due to hospitals. Confident we can beat the Pensioners and their plastic fans, especially as Carragher isn’t at the back. All Kenny has to do is remind them of the disgusting Chelsea fans who booed during the Hillsborough minutes silence. 2-0 I reckon/hope. Then again Jay Spearing (the worst ever LFC player, he makes Josemi look like Dani Alves) is playing so we’ll undoubtedly lose.

EDIT: Oh look, Spearing fucked up and Chelsea scored. Fucks sake…

Roy Hodgson: England Manager

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Which dickhead thought this numpty would be suitable for England manager? Even better than moron Redknapp getting it. Can not wait for the Euros now to see not only the most overrated side in national football humiliated but this turnip sacked within two months and the press turning on him (something they should have done when he was sacked from Anfield).

Gary Neville really is retarded

Watching the European Cup Semi-final - hoping Chelsea get slaughtered - at the hospital tonight. Why oh why did somebody at Sky Sports think hiring Gary Neville would be a good idea? God, his voice is really annoying. He sounds like one of those borderline-retarded, ‘comedy’ characters Coronation Street has from time to time.

The 'goal'

A team of cheats need possibly the worst decision ever to help them cheat their way to victory. Their captain admits it hit him and didn’t cross the line - but kept his mouth shut during the incident. Unlike a section of his club’s fans who can’t even keep their mouths shut for a minutes silence to honour the dead. Hope that has made everyone associated with Chelsea proud. Even if I wasn’t a Kopite I hope Liverpool stuff them in the final. Do it for the 96.

A minutes silence for Hillsborough before the Spurs vs Chelsea FA Cup Semi-final

And the Chelsea fans can’t even keep their mouths shut for sixty seconds. Utter fucking scum.

Just found out that they were chanting “Murderers.” Pathetic. Ban them all for life Chelsea if you have any decency. Sadly you don’t. Neither do United who won’t ban their fans who today chanted, “Always the victims, never your fault.”

Hope Chelsea win though, so we can smack them in the final where, like today, they won’t sell our their allocation.

Justice For the Ninety-six.

R.I.P. Piermario Morosini

R.I.P. Piermario Morosini

Piermario Morosini (5 July 1986 — 14 April 2012)

Just heard the tragic news about the twenty-five year old Udinese midfielder Morosini - who was on loan to Serie B side Livrono - who died from a cardiac arrest this afternoon, collapsing on the pitch. Why this isn’t more in the news, especially after Fabrice Muamba’s lucky escape, is beyond me. On further reading it seems Morosini has had umpteen tragedies in his life and although I don’t believe in Heaven I do hope he is somehow, somewhere with all those he has lost.

Liverpool 2 Everton 1

People may say he’s a waste of money and yes he’s not worth £35m but that goal, to knock Everton out, was worth that much. Two (late) goals in two games after he’s finally been given some service will do him the world of good. Let us just hope Kenny doesn’t drop him. Play him for every game left and watch him fly.

As for Everton well, personally, I think if they want to progress and become a force again (as they have so much potential to) then Moyes has to go. He had the chance today to literally destroy us, knock us out of the Cup, sack our manager and leave us next to dead. Instead he stood like a rabbit in the headlights and was solely at fault for how his team played after Carragher (who should never play again - and it kills me to say that) gifted them a goal. Everton should be a major team who at least compete for the Cups year after year but they won’t with Moyes any more.

Anyway… personally hoping Chelsea win tomorrow as wanna see that ponse’s face when we lift the FA Cup in front of him.

Getting really excited for tomorrow. Despite how poor we’ve been I’m feeling positive as I just have an inkling Everton will - once again against us - choke at the wrong moment (for them). They always seem to against us. Hopefully it’ll happen again tomorrow. Wish we had Lucas on the pitch though as our central midfield of Shelvey, and Spearing just isn’t good enough.
